- Drafted by the Detroit Tigers – 5th Round, 1988 MLB Draft
- Eastern Michigan University standout pitcher; threw a collegiate no-hitter
- Minor League Career (1988–1993):
- Reached AAA level with the Toledo Mud Hens
- Pitched for the London Tigers (AA), Lakeland Tigers (A+), and Fayetteville Generals (A)
- Career Minor League Record: 34–28, 3.19 ERA over 485.1 innings
